Trackday Preparation and Service

Beitrag von TuonoWLF »

Hello all,

I am really glad I found this forum - I recently moved in Switzerland and I am in the process of finding out where to buy parts from etc.
In terms of Servicing and Trackday preparation, does anyone have any advice on where to go please? I am located in Bern but I will travel. My bike is a 2004 Aprilia Tuono R (Gen 1).
Also, any good links on parts like rearsets, paddock stands, tyres, brake pads, etc? In short, the essentials for the maintenance of the bike.

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Cheers!
Argy

PS. Apologies if this post is in the wrong place, please re-arrange as needed.

Hi

I do not have any recommendations concerning shops in Bern. Some dealerships also have a racing department. Apart from that many people buy their stuff online and then most likely do the labour all by themselves. Since there is a bigger market for racing in Germany and the prices are lower, many users buy they parts from German websites (there countless shops...).

Maybe you will face some problems finding parts for your Tuono, because it isn't a typcal race bike. Maybe you can contact Moto Meile for special customizing (www.meile-gmbh.ch). I do not know if they speak English.

Hi

I could give you the same advice as Phil.
Contact http://www.meile-gmbh.ch/ and ask for Florian.
He speaks also fluid english and in our area, he is the major "racing guy" I know.
He also rides the Swiss Champinship and knows alot about racing.

My bike and some others here in the forum, were buildet from him.

I hope I could help...
Gruss Alessandro
